I’m shocked as I’m sure the rest of the world is with the Russian invasion of Ukraine!
This war is futile!
One man makes a decision and the loss of life is significant on both sides… those that don’t want to fight but no choice and those that don’t want to fight and must defend.
Why?
I’m transfixed to the television, downloading all that the news has to offer in real time about the devastating situation, happening only a 2 hour flight away from me.
It just feels crazy and must be terrifying for all of those involved.
The news reported yesterday of a 21 year old Ukrainian solider, standing alone, single handedly guarding a bridge.
Utter madness, an impossible situation and his face showed us fear!
A brave young man indeed…
The people of Ukraine have no other choice than to find a way through it and the rest of the world will always know their story.
What will war ever achieve?
My heart is with the Ukrainian people and may this conflict end soon.
